Understanding Mugwort Incense
This batch of mugwort was produced in 2019, and I have kept it for almost three years.
This batch of mugwort incense is made from 100% pure mugwort, selected from the birthplace of mugwort in Qichun County, Hubei Province, known as the ''Mugwort Capital of China''.
According to the ''Compendium of Materia Medica'', Qiai (mugwort) leaves are the best, and Qizhou is the hometown of Li Shizhen, a famous Chinese medicine expert, which is now located in Qichun County, Hubei Province.

Why burn mugwort incense?
Burning mugwort has been a traditional cultural practice during the Dragon Boat Festival in China since ancient times.
People clean their houses before and after the Dragon Boat Festival, and after removing dust and old items, they burn mugwort to fumigate the rooms and replace the stale air with the smoke, while opening windows for ventilation.
After analyzing the strong aroma of burnt mugwort in laboratories and purifying the mugwort, it has been found that mugwort contains a large amount of volatile oil, including more than half of camphor, as well as methyl chavicol, borneol acetate, and isoborneol.
